to avoid interferance transducer wire should be kept as far away as possible from all other wires. i want to run my td on port side of transom. any1 here done this b4? if so, what is the best 'route' for the wire on a v20 cuddy? tx

My Furuno 600L is mounted on port dash with tx wire running up behind rod box. About the only thing to watch for on our boats is the radio ant coax.

Re: installing transducer

racer, on mine, all other wiring is under the starboard gunwale...transducer and wiring only thing on port...it's worked well that way since '99...had to buy ''extension'' as wire was not long enough to go around hatch opening in bow and then back to starboard dash where my display is located...hope this helps ;D ...

Re: installing transducer

racer...sorry reply took so long...yeah, I ran it around the hatch opening on underside of cuddy deck...1/4'' SS screws and small plastic cable clamps like these:

Pretty sure the 1/8'' clamp will be the size you'll need ;)...

Yours being a later model, if there's carpet under there, you'll need a longer screw or ya might be able to ''hide'' the wire along the edge of the carpet around the hatch opening...

Re: installing transducer

You can run the ducer wire up the starboard side w/ the other wires. About the only thing on the boat that would cause interference is your VHF ant. wire.

ps I ran mine up the port side because thats where I mounted my bottom machine.
