Lug Nuts

Ok for years now I have had to change my lug nuts every 2 or 3 seasons cause they rot, And I am afraid of not being able to get them off when the time comes.

I have tried painting them, and coating them with anti seize, I have washed them after every trip.

So has any one found any Stainless Lugs that stand up??

What do you guys do to stop this??

Re: Lug Nuts

Pretty sure they don't make stainless lugnuts because stainless tends to "gall" and deform the threads. Just keep them greased and replace when needed I guess?

I have been working lots of OT and have not had that much time to research it, But I will!! I just wanted to see if anyone has found any so I could just buy them instead of having look. So now that I know they are out there I will find them!

Re: Lug Nuts

my father in law had stainless lug nuts on his camper trailer, I asked him wher he got them, he said they were a product of the former Charleston Navy Ship Yard, wished I lived here when it was open. I've seen some mighty fine stainless oyster cookers that came out of that yard.
