Eliminating rod boxes
 

I do not do a lot of fishing with my V; more skiing and general recreation. Has anyone tried removing one or both rod boxes and making the area behind it into a "ski pocket" type of storage area. If so, I would love to know how you did it. I was thinking of covering it with mounted kingboard or plexiglass sliding doors. I would carpet the inside of the gunwale.

I started redoing my rod boxes awhile back and posted the progress, I haven't finished them( been too busy fixing everyone elses boat). I think teh title was "rod boxes"

Just read my mind. I remembered Randleman had some custom box's done when he bought his V. :D
