Loading from Block to Trailer 101
First Line up the trailer by hand then wet the runners be bunks or rollers helps load easier.

It will wench the rest of the way on easily now. then tow it home lol. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...ailer-011S.jpg Notice i changed the trailers wench post and bow stop. That was so the boat would move 3 inches forward and would work better on heigth for the front of the boat. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...ailer-012S.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...ailer-013S.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...ailer-014S.jpg |
Re: Loading from Block to Trailer 101
Thanks so much Lord Skools, you make it look very simple, but I guess this is why they call you Lord.

Re: Loading from Block to Trailer 101
one question though, why do you move the front blocks back in picture 8?

Re: Loading from Block to Trailer 101
Skool, I can see that workin' on a stripped down hull w/no motor, but how do it do onna fully outfitted boat (weight ???)...?

Re: Loading from Block to Trailer 101
doesn't matter i did my 21 with an outboard on it complete. The front blocks i put there so it wouldn't stress the hull on the end of the trailer. Plus i didn't want it to pick the front of the trailer up like 4 ft off the ground.
Here's the 21 when bought. It is a foam filled boat too. It's a heavy boat. That Sea Ox was on the ground too when i got it. It was complete and laying on the ground totally. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...1_boat_005.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...1_boat_008.jpg Sea Ox when found http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...sea_ox_001.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...sea_ox_008.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a46...sea_ox_003.jpg |
Re: Loading from Block to Trailer 101
Good stuff, Skools...you picked a good example...I KNOW the Sea Ox is HEAVY BOAT...they shoulda picked up the phrase, ''like a rock'' before Chevy did...nice work on that boat... ;) ;D...

oh and btw - thanks skool for the demo. I must say, I hope I never ever have to use that great info though! I don't ever want to work on a boat again!! Its not in my blood - I'd rather be fishin! |

Re: Loading from Block to Trailer 101
Thanks Skools Out.
One day I will achieve your level of knowledge. Or at least I'll be able to put a boat on a trailer thats sitting on the ground. Hey, Is that a good commercial license on that Ox? |
