nfb steering
 
does anybody with the nfb system have any play in the steering wheel i have about 2 inches and dont remember if it was allways like that

should be no play!! You might need a new box??

Are the cable ends tight?? I onces had a cable that was lose and I thought I had a problem??

i dont know i will check the ends, the nfb helm is only about 3 yrs old

I too have nfb and noticed the same thing the last trip out . I do not recall having it in there before . I am going to check my cables if I get out on the boat Sunday.

you know something, i dont remember either if it was like that when i first installed it let me know what you find and ill let you know what i find. stripper fishing tommorrow or blues, i got 27 blues last week, to rough to get to the stripper grounds last week. well see tommorrow

Step, my nfb is 3 yrs old...you got my curiosity up so I went out to check...w/ motor tilted up, wheel moves 3" til movement of motor, but w/ boat in the water might be a little different...play is in the box...had boat out other day, still runs straight as a string w/ no hands...so I'm not concerned... ;D...

i went out today too my motor runs stright also so if your not concerned neighter am i but if something breaks i will let you know and you let me know

Roger that, Step...we might contact Teleflex just to see, but I really don't think it's a prob...I don't notice it on the water...
