Are you saying that the e-tec 200 is lighter than a standard 150 ??

Is this the same motor your talking about?

This spec says the 200hp is 516 lbs.

THT had a thread saying that Bombardier would offer an E-Tec 200 based on the 150/175 block that it would weigh 423lbs...the motor in Jeff's post above is the 200HO(I assume High Output) and is based on the larger displacement block of the 225/250 models...

Can't help but think about it... ::)... ;D

Stripminer...it's less than my 4-Stroke 150...

I am buying a new engine by the end of the week. I really like the buzz about the e-tecs but I am always leary of being a guinea pig. Do you have any concerns over the new technology needing a good de-bugging ??

I found the spec sheet on the 200 for you,, enjoy

I have heard nothing but good about the E-tec . They soon bringing out the "small block" 150/175/200 in the e-tec . When I repower/have the $ I most likely will go with a 175or 200 E-tec . I like my current yamaha fine but when it goes , I kike the idea of a light , quiet , fuel sipping 2 stroke . Not to mention being able to get 7 years of coverage .

I have talked to installers, and repair techs, and retail guys, all I have ever heard is that the E-Tec is the best motor that has been made in 20 yrs, I guess by default that kinda means the best motor ever

Have you guys seen that new Mercury Verado?

That's the BIGGEST motor built in the last 20 years! Looks like the 225hp weighs somewhere around 700lbs to me. Surely not, but if I had to guess...

I'm not a Mercury fan anyway - sorry Mercury V20 owners!
