Bow rail Why ?
Just thinking about something after seeing that custom 32' boat on the other post w/o a bow rail , how nice and clean it looked, why do i need a bow rail on a full front cuddy boat. I see the need on my center console, but no one is going to be regularly walking around on the bow of my v20. Has anyone taken it off completely. Would it be a problem in any way?

Re: Bow rail Why ?
I've said it before, it looks better without it and serves no real purpose. Take it off! It won't hurt a thing!
I took it off my '72 cause I'm a cheapskate and didn't want to buy new stainless hardware ;D |

Re: Bow rail Why ?
I likewhat Franco did to his, chopping it down to about 4" at its highest point. It can function as sort of a LARGE non- cumbersome bow cleat...looks sharp!

Re: Bow rail Why ?
Willy, a bow-rail on any boat boils down to one thing; personal opinion...I've seen as many V20s and other boats that looked GREAT w/out a bow-rail as with one...that's one thing that makes this board so interesting, is the diversity of styles and individual likes/dislikes of the boat owners...
Like James Brown said; "It's all good..." ;D... |
Re: Bow rail Why ?
