Re: Good fiberglass work...
The Hermco Co. has rebuilt and re-fitted many boats. The majority seem to be Seacrafts since they worked so closely with that company over the years. They definately do excellent work.
All the reworking on Seacrafts raises a question in my mind. I've been on several Seacrafts of various sizes and can attest to their fantastic hull design offering a great ride in some very heavy seas. Was the factory work performed at the time of manufacture that subpar that they all need extensive rebuilding? I here talk about some years being better than others. I have seen very few that haven't had or needed transom or deck repairs. Maybe Bigshrimpin can weigh in on this if he happens to read it since he's currently got one in-process. |

WOW thats nice!!
A transom door too! Now I want one. Maybe I need to incorporate one in my full transom??? ;D A transom door on a V20 anyone?? ::) |

Re: Good fiberglass work...
man their work looks great. Thanks for the comparison RAP but I don't have that yet i could learn a thing or 2 there lol. I will look for the site i use to have that was a boat rebuilder that shows where he extended a 42 ft to a 50 ft and added a bed room and a bath to one plus a larger kitchen on the top deck.
here's one but not the one i talked about. http://www.paddencreekmarine.com/pcm.html |
Re: Good fiberglass work...
Wow it takes a huge set of Nortons to take a perfectly good 42 foot boat and cut it up to add 8 feet to it, not to mention the money needed to do it!!
Man I got a price of $800+ from a boat place just to fill the hole in the transom after I pulleed the I/O :o Thats when I learned real fast how to do it myself!! Its been 3 years now and the thing shows no sign of were! Thank God!! |
