Gunnel Mounted Outriggers?

Does anyone know the best place to get outriggers from? *I'm looking for 15' alum. 1 1/8" telescoping. *The cheapest I've found were on ebay for $274 for the Taco telescoping alum. poles. *
Is there a big difference in quality from taco to perko or tigress, lee jr's? *I can get some perko alum screw together for about 150. *Does that sound like a decent deal?
Appreciate your help in advance.

Depends on what you want them for and how often you'll use them. IMO, lees are the best but are way overkill if your gonna use em twice year. I've got some fiberglass tele models that I never use so they work just fine in the shed. Might try them this fall rock trolling.

Offshore, my gunwale-mounted hardware is by a company called SOS...top of the line, high-grade stainless and utilizes 1 1/8'' poles...strongly recommend them...6+ years and no trace of corrosion or even discoloration...wanted 1st-class mounts (they are there ALL the time), but went w/inexpensive fiberglass telescoping poles as I don't use 'em often...if you are gonna use 'em a lot, get some good ones, probably gonna set you back 2-300 clams...

I'll try to get a closer shot of 'em...It's just aft of the gas-cap in this photo...USE a backing-plate under the gunwale no matter which mfgr you go with... ;)...

Thanks for the advice. I figure I'll use'em about 5-10 times a year.Don't get out as much as I want to but That's the story with everyone, it seems.
