WELLCRAFT SPORTSMAN

let me start by saying the v 20 is probably my favorite boat on earth.
problem: 20 foot is a bit small for my purposes(wife, 2 kids and my parents). if they made the v in 23 or 24 this thread would be over.
question: is anyone familiar with the other wellcrafts ?
the offshore and sportsman series of the late eighties. i like wellcraft and would like to stay with the brand. they look great but is there anybody with any real experience with them ?

also, we like to fish offshore and the 20 makes me a bit nervous thinking about 40 to 60 miles out.

well I use to fish on the 248 sportman, and it was a great boat for off shore.

To much cabin for my liking, but very good boat for what you are talking about.

The family can go down below in the cabin were there is a sink, stove , and ice box as well as sleeping for 4 they say but 2 is more like it. also room for a porta pot.

Good solid hull. *Fished alot out of a 248 Sportsman. *Take a look at the Coastal or Offshore. *The 250 was the same hull in later years. *Available in single or dual outboards, I/O (single or dual) or twin sea drives. *I've seen some nice 248's w/brackets. *Also take a look at the 28 Coastal w/ dual inboards or dual outboards. They also made the 248 in a center console with a small v berth.
