goin fishin.
goin out in the morning (late morning) with the wife and kids. all goes well you guys should see a picture of me with a 10.5 pound fluke (if i can figure out how to post a picture). with the new regulations up here i havent seen a keeper this season. when the limit was 14 inches all we caught were 4,5,6,7 and 8 pounders. now you have to go through 30 shorts to get 2 or 3 keepers. aint like the old days.

Re: goin fishin.
mac, our limit is now 18 inches, 4 fish. we catch some nice size fish and they are still shorts. blu, i know what you mean. we have been catching 17.5ers like mad and throwing them back. the fishery has been decimated.
well, i caught my 10.5 pounder today... actually, more like ten and a half one pounders. the action was pretty steady and the kids had a ball so it was a good day of fishing. thats all i look for. |
Re: goin fishin.
and from what i understand the regulations will be even tighter next season, if thats possible.

Re: goin fishin.
Finally got boat in water. First this year. Perfect day 85 , 5-10 ne on the bay to start. Hit Hampton bar with my son. When he caught the first flattie after only being in the water for 3 min all the problems dissappeared. Like the commerical says. It was worth a million bucks. Didn't stay out to long wind came and tide was running. Could not set up on a good drift. Caught enouh for a great dinner and some for the freezer. Skunk is out of the boat.
