Wellcraft decals
Thought those price stickers stores put on items were hard to remove. Boy, was I wrong. The wellcraft decals have been on the boat for 29 years and never budged. Is there a simple way to remove them? Have been using a razor blade scraper. A slow process, plus it leaves all the glue on the hull.
Next question, where can I get new decals? Don't tell me that I was suppose to keep the old ones. |
Re: Wellcraft decals
You can use a blow drier to warm them up and a plastic putty knife to scrape them - look on ebay for the decals

Re: Wellcraft decals
Use goo-off and a razor. Works great.

Re: Wellcraft decals
Look under links and then decals. I have not yet bought any, hope the site is good. Single edge rasor and laquer thinner for removal.

Re: Wellcraft decals
As has been siad, a hair dryer or a heat gun, but if you use a heat gun becareful not to over heat!!
After the sticker is off use lacqer thiner or goo gone. |
Re: Wellcraft decals
Take a chainsaw and cut closely around stubborn decal...leaves no adhesive residue...repair fiberglass and gelcoat, then reapply decal from E-Bay...just
KIDDIN ;D ... |

Re: Wellcraft decals
Hey, that's not a bad idea.
I could put my anchor through the hole left from removing the stickers with a chainsaw. ;) ;) ;D |
