Pulling wire

I just mounted a sounder. How do I fish the wire from the stern to the center consol? There appears to be two passage ways in the hull. One is wiring, and the other is steering. Thanks

Re: Pulling wire

Look to see if you have a line already in there to pull wires through with. If not what you need to do is fish something through the tube which you can pull a small line through. Then using this line pull the wires and another line through at the same time. The line you pull through will stay leaving enough excess line at each end to use again next time you need to pull something through. If you have any old wires going through the tube which are not in use you can use on of them to pull some line through. The key is to always leave a line in the tube to do the next job.

Well said there Tsubaki, especilly the last part about taping the end. With 20 years experience pulling wires, that was one of the first hard learned lessons I had.
