well boys I got boarded by the coasties today for a routine inspection :-/ they checked everything pfd's horn paper work throwable etc etc ..... well my fire extinguisher was in the red!!!! ok , I explained that it was new last sept and the needle was off just from the bouncing of the boat (most likely)
after the inspection they ask where i moore the boat so I tell them and next thing I know i escorted back to the dock under USCG power!!!! *I was fit to be tied >:( >:( >:( * no warning, no get a new one, an escort back to dock !!!!! *and was told that its part of home land security !!!!! now do I look like a terriorist. .......

that is just rediculiss(?). just say i am being a jerk cause i can. dont blame it on the safety of our nation.

you mean they shut you down and towed you in for an "allegedly" bad fire extinguisher ?????? ::)......you've got to be kidding :-/

The boat is brand new dam it!! And they say this is a Free Country!!

I would be in Jail if I was you!! cause I would have refused!!

Which reminds me, my flares are out of date!! :-/

What else did they ck?? Its been a whie for me.

its like when they dont search the arab at the airport cause they dont wanna offend him. but, they search the 2 year old toddler! the difference between a toddler and a terrorist is that toddlers wear diapers on thier butts. terrorist wear them on thier heads.

and i wouldnt say you look like a terrorist. but, you do look like ur up to something!lol

the last time I was boarded [Nov. '06] they found no violations, but they told me the registration letters and numbers were to close together......."yeah, I'll fix it tomorrow, thanks".

mj they checked mainly I D's pfd's he said flares were a state thing ...made sure i had horn and whistle ....etc basic stuff.

Gee I didn't think I needed a extinguisher I was just going to ram a LNG Tanker any way!!
