First trip in the salt with the 250 This is the symbol of the guy that used to be known as the Artist Formerly Known as Prince. http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/1a.jpg And this is the symbol of the guy formerly known as Tally Ho.... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/1b.jpg The new boat is going to be named the Monkey Butler hence the new handle. I've owned the domain name www.monkeybutler.com for some time and eventually I'll get a website put up. I took some vaction and I've been off work since the 4th puttering around with the boat. I had a problem with a mid-range bog in the motor so I didn't feel comfortable going out in the ocean yet. I was waiting on carb kits so in the meantime we had a few outings on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. A 25 footer doesn't make an ideal bassboat but in a pinch...... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/2a.jpg Well the parts didn't come in on Friday as expected but I tore down the carbs anyway, cleaned 'em and reassembled with the old gaskets. Took it out on the lake again and ran like a new motor. So Saturday morning we were 69.3 miles away from the MOB marker I punched in on the lake... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/2b.jpg http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/2c.jpg Let me introduce the crew. Admiral Junkbottom... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/3a.jpg Oldest kid and only daughter Nicole... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/3b.jpg Oldest son Tyler... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/3c.jpg And the youngest, Brian... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/3d.jpg And yours truly... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/3e.jpg BTW, there is a toe shot hidden in one of the above pictures for ya' Stink Man. We caught some scup, tried our luck for stripers, and ducked into a sheltered beach when the famous Buzzards Bay afternoon chop blew up, along with every other boat on the bay... http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/4.jpg Here is a link to a short Movie that we threw together (~3mb) http://www.monkeybutler.com/boat/2007_0707/BuzzBay.wmv All in all a great day. Hope you all had a great 4th. Steve P. |

Re: First trip in the salt with the 250 Way to go Steve! Glad you and your family had fun together. Did you launch at Maco's in Wareham? Video is great too. Awesome job. LMAO @ "the guy formerly known as Tally Ho" Oh wait a minute, did you change your name because of the Rev. Al Sharpton? he don't like anyone being called "Ho" LMFAO! ;D |

Re: First trip in the salt with the 250 Well done Steve, the 250 is looking sweet, I think that is the perfect all around size for a boat, especially if it is going to be a family boat a good percentage of the time. Very nice ;) |
