 Riggers Ready!!  Re: Riggers Ready!! DITTO Those rigger bases are the same my boat had. Grandaddy had them installed at the boatyard where he bought the boat in "75. Now their long gone, except for the holes in the gunwales. :'( |

Reel, we ditch the the bungee's and the cord onour riggers, instead use 80# mono and use a short piece of line that runs thru a cheek block(sail bote stuff), saw it on a Viking once and tried it, you can adjsut the tension to handle what ever speed your trolling or however much drag you have, when you store the riggers upright for running, you can really tighten the lines to keep them from flapping  |

 Re: Riggers Ready!! Reel, The day is fast approaching. We are going down on the 25th, be there through the 3rd. When we were there last week the surf was full of weeds, the kind that hold dolphin. Reports were that dolphin were within 5 miles of the beach and kings were in the surf. The wind was blowing when I was there so I didn't test out the reports, but plan to soon. |
