Talk about a bad day......
 

My buddy has a 21' wellcraft cuddy and it was stuck in the marina with a bad starter. So me and him and another buddy put my boat in Sunday morning at 9:30 and went to tow his to the ramp. Got to the marina, hooked his up and towed it to the ramp a mile away. Everything went well so far, just a slow tow in 25 mph winds gusting to 35. But no real problems. Got them to the ramp loaded his with no problem, then tried to load mine. Well that is where the day went to hell. Got mine halfway up and realized a couple of the teeth on the winch were worn off >:( so it would go so far and stop and we pryed the wheel around to get to the good teeth and kept going. This lasted for what seemed and hour. We could only get it to within 2 feet of the front post. >:( So we pulled it out and hooked my buddy's truck to the bow eye and also using a come along we got it all the way on. another hour later. So I dropped my boat and i get a call the other boat lost a bearing on his trailer. so we go and take wheel off secure the axle, and the other tire on the bad side goes flat :'( Take that tire off and replace it with the spare and tow it 3 miles at 10 mph to the boat lot. finally got home at 3:30.

Ever have a day where everything you touch breaks? :-/

Been there, done that. As I see it, you all had a good day. No damage to person or property...just some inconvenience and the need to replace gear that was due for service anyway.

See, it ain't so bad now ;D

By the way...our Tog / Bass trip will be postponed to at least the 3rd week of January...I'll be in Costa Rica and Vegas till then ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :P :P :P :P

Its just the trailer's way of being jealous towards a wet slip.

Trailers have feelings too ya know ;D
