12.8 ozs of oil
On a scale, what is the next higher level of oil. 12.8 and what is the next higher amount? Is it 13.0?

12.9, then 13, if I understand the question. If this is relating to how much to put in an engine, completely ignore what I said:zip:

Math hard for me, but I concur with scook, bigger numbers equal more,
If your mixing 2 stroke and your formula calls for 12.8, rounding up to 13 is OK |
Phat , your right it calls for 12.8 ozs for 5 gallons so I have been using 13.0 ozs. But what I was thinking is that to much? So how much oil is 12 and a half ounces ? How do they measure ozs? .2. .4 .6. .8. And what's next? .10. .12. .14 ?. I think the next larger amount is 13.0 ozs. Am I right?

Oz are measured 2 ways. If it's a solid then it's measured by weight. If it's a liquid then it's measured by volume. Adding a little extra oil in a 2 stroke will not hurt anything. If anything it will make you smoke a tiny tiny bit more.

Thanks, anybody hear from spareparts?

12 and a half is 12.5. An easy way to think about it if you’re good with percentages is to just move the decimal point two spaces to the right. .5 (move the decimal two places to the right) is 50% or one half.

So 12.8 oz is very very close to 13.0 ozs Right? No need for me to try to get it at 12.8.
