I m out of commission for 6 more weeks. My wife broke the fifth metatarsal in here left foot. She s my favorite boating companion, so if i do go out, i ll take the little whaler. If i get some fish, i ll post em.

Also, it s been HOT HOT GOT

Yesterday and a week ago we went out on the boat. Both times the heat was brutal. I came home yesterday after the boat a fell asleep as in took a nap. I NEVER take naps. Wifey said it was likely that the heat just got to me. But it's not really unusually hot for SC in August, so there's that.

I'm doing a refurb on my boat so out of the picture for now. Adding a tower, enclosure, radar, chartplotter, GPS, radio and a few other goodies. Pics soon.

Oh, so just some minor work. Should be done in a week or so?

Tower is in place now, Just needs to be bolted down. Then Radar, GPS and masthead light on top of it with wires going down through one of the stanchion pipes to the dashboard. Then chartplotter display and radio. Enclosure came with the Tower, so not much to do there except rearrange some of the snaps and lift-the-dot things. Knowing me, I figure it should be done just in time for me to hang the Christmas lights on it.

Oh, and did I mention that I'm also refurbing the trailer that it's going to be sitting on? Brakes and 2 new crossmembers plus have to adjust the rollers to the hull.

Now if I can just convince my wife that it really "needs" a new 200 HP Yamaha 4 stroke engine on the back.... <sigh>

It's only as high as a Bimini top. But it's solid, no cloth (Except for the enclosure around it)

Well, you’re doing better than me,D. I prepped the little boat, made a great shakedown cruise for a couple of hours Friday a week ago, went to do service call Monday morning, felt like crap by noon. Covid by 6 that night. I was over it by Friday, but wife got it w
Wednesday. She s on the mend, so maybe a solo fishing trip this week.

Checking weather this morning, Oh NO. Hurricane coming Monday/Tuesday.

Oh Well

YIKE!! on the Covid. Take care of yourself and your family. I have it on good authority that the ocean will still be there after your family gets over that bug. Seems it's been there for a long time. Go figure.....
