I was thinking? What do you think?

With these crazy go green morons who are going to save the planet by taking away plastic bags. But everything else in plastic is ok .
O K this is what I was thinking about
They are so friggin nutty that I'm sure they want everybody to have a 4 stroke outboard until they can figure how to get a electric outboard on every boat. What if they stop making 2 stroke oil, ?
I don't know about you but I love my 2 stroke and the smell of the fumes it has.
So I am going to buy 2 stroke oil and stock up on it just In case these idiots try to make it Illigal. What do you think?
I know the 4 strokes are ok but not for me. Can't afford one and not like them anyway ,so don't beat me up on how great they are
Thanks .
Joey 2 stroke .

When my dad had the lawn mower shop, 68-87, we sold lawn boy mowers. They were 2 strokes made by OMC. We would put about 3 or 4 in rental service for the summer. We sold OMC oil, but ran our rental fleet of of Gulf Pride 30 wt. never had an issue

So, worst case, you could run 30wt.

Way back when I had a couple 30HP Evinrude engines (not at the same time). The instructions all called for them to run 30W oil. This was back in the 60-70's) I know there are reasons for using 2 stroke oil, but in a pinch I'd bet that 30W in the same ratio would work ok.

30 weight oil in stead of tcw3 2 stroke? I would not trust that 15 miles off shore .

You would if it was all you had and a storm was coming....

Many current two-stroke outboard oils are built on a mid-viscosity base oil that would be considered around 20-weight, so 30W isn't all that different.

I will check it out later today
I know that guy on project farm does a lot of testing so I will definitely watch it.
I never thought that regular oil (30 weight) would work and your right
A storm is coming and thats all that I have. Put it in son and let's get going
But getting back. To my original post, do you think that these green nuts would stop making 2 stroke oil ?

Good question. Don't know. My take is they want all of us to go back to horse and buggy. Nothing satisfies them. They always want more.

My two stroke runs insane and I do love the smell of two stroke smoke….. BUT!!! And I’m not sure if it’s because the boat is under powered, but MAN! This thing burns gas!
Towards the end of the season my fuel sender took a crap. Actually, I’m not sure if it’s the sender so I don’t know if I’ll change it out or just feel my way around. Man…. Maybe one day I’ll own a boat that’s only a few years old. That sure would be nice.

2 strokes suck. They stink. Oil cost money and you burn it. They get ****ty mpg. They are loud. They don't make them anymore.
You gonna stock up on 8 track tapes, cassettes, CDs, floppy disks, Nokia phones,
R12 refrigerant, Zima....?:nut:

Sorry to disagree but I love the roar of the engine, love the smell of oil in the morning and the gas mileage is almost just as good as my sons 4 stroke Yamaha. And mind is faster and better response, cheaper to fix. Simpler to diagnose. A much simpler design. Keep your 4 strokes and I will keep my 2stroke. I bet my 2 stroke will last longer than your 4 stroke .
You know what, they are all good as long as they are running.
I still listen to cassettes, records and I have a flip phone that I love. I wish I had a 8 track. They were great. Much better than the junk today.
