Very disappointed

I don't see any new post any more, what gives? I know most of the boats are laid up for the winter. But there is still things to ask about like
What are your plans for next year? Me, I have a list of everything that I have to do before I put her back in the water
The first thing and I mean the very first thing is I have to check for a fuel leak.
When I fill her up the last two times,I smell gas so I'm going to look at the fittings and hope I find a loose fitting. If not than I don't know but I have a list of things to do. What about you guys?

Hey, I'm still hanging around

Me too

Busy time of year with a lot going on for most people, so I understand the slow traffic. When I got my first boat, I made a rule that I would go out at least 2 weekends a month. Stuck to it for most of the year except February. Too cold and rainy, so that was the yearly maintenance month. Mostly water pump and trailer chores.

Can t say I ve always stuck to it, but the good thing about a boat, there s always something to do to it

I'm working on everyone else boat each day, so its not anything noteworthy for me to post. I've given up on my V20 due to structural issues. My Sea Hunt needs a little work, but its 4 hours away. My Sea Ray is in the middle of a major redo(getting it ready to sell), but I doubt any of ya'll would be interested in it. I sold my bass boat last week, so its gone. i still haven't figured out how to post pics, otherwise Id post some fishing pics.

I guess this post should have said
What are you doing to your boat before spring. Since I have a older boat there is always a list that I follow.
Just wondering , when I found get to the point of starting my engine it's always a lot of cranking before she starts and when she does ( she always does) it sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders until she runs for about 30 seconds, is that normal? Mercury 2 stroke 1988

yup, normal

Once I take delivery of the 83 I/O from up in N.H. I will have a few things to do I'm sure. Looking forward to it I can tell you! On another note is Reel still around?

spareparts 12-17-2022 08:13 AM

Reel hasn't been on here in a while, he had some kind of password issue a few years back and couldn't log in, I don't think he's been back since. I can contact him for you though.

Speaking of people missing, has anyone heard from MJ?
