Sea foam I have a 55 gallon fuel tank and want to put in a can of sea foam do you think it's worth it? Does anyone use sea foam ? |

I use Sea Foam in my 2 stroke gas for my weed eaters, blowers, chain saws, etc. mainly because they have diaphragm type carbs. When I had a two stroke outboard, I used the mercury premium plus oil and 89 octane non ethanol had that motor for 20 years, 94 to 2014, and never had the carbs off. With my 4 stroke, I run a can of mercury kwikcleen every 6 months or so Does any of it do any good? Not sure, but I don t think it harms anything. |

Phatdaddy, your lucky that you can get ethanol free gas, here in nj I can't ,at least not anywhere that I can get my boat to so I'm stuck with E10 I always use Startron but got a can of seafoam for a dollar cause it was dented, so I had to buy it. I think I will just add it to my gas tank , I don't think it will hurt anything if anything it should be good. |

pump your tank, old treated gas is better than old non treated gas, but its still old gas. Run it in your car, lawn mower, snow blower(I've heard of these things, just never seen one), what ever you have that will burn it. Nothing will see the load your boat gets when running, run E free gas every chance you get, if you think your getting moisture in the gas, splash 15 gallons of e 10 in it and run it it out. |
