V-20 HIN decode

I've been around boats for a while and know that the last 2 digits of the HIN is the year of the boat 99% of the time. My V-20 is odd, the HIN is unlike any other I've seen. My paperwork says it's a 1982, but it doesn't look like any other 82's I've seen. Is there a decoder for this brand? My HIN is WELA9178M82F-V20.

If I'm correct that's a Wellcraft 1982 Fisherman. A picture or two will help. :head:

V20 fisherman is a center console model
The cuddy model is a V20 steplift

Go to the history section and look at the 82 catalogue

Phat, the "F" on the HIN number was what threw me off. That's why I asked for some pictures. I agree with you, that's most definitely a V20 Steplift cuddy cabin.

Two different boats? The inside shots show rod holders in one picture and an enclosed area in the other picture. In all cases she's a pretty boat.

I've been refitting the boat on and off for the last year. Those are pictures from different points of the refit. Here's a few from yesterday. I deleted the rod boxes cause their useless in my opinion. That's 3/8" star-board with custom 4 box tackle centers that tilt out. Attachment 7720

Very nice - great idea for tackle storage. Let’s you gear up for whatever kind of fishing you’re doing quick and easy:clap:

Interesting speaker placement in the back. What was the deciding factor to put them there?
