Fished ocean 5/18
 

Got on some decent seabass to 18” and Ling with friends yesterday finding the most fish off NJ highlands. Calm seas.....zipped back at 2 as wind shifted SE.

V boat proves great - all the assorted stores in the cuddy out of the way.
Three on board, plenty of room .

Then spent the usual 1.5 - 2 hours cleaning fish, gear , boat, fresh water engine run .......

When all is done, sit down and have a couple of cocktails!!!!! :love:

One of the advantages of running in the river to get to Sandy Hook is my engine gets an extended (3/4hr) fresh water cleaning on the way back up the river. :) Still need to clean gear, boat, etc, but at least the engine just gets a hose down. :beer:

It’s good if you enjoy it for sure.....

Sometimes after all the clean up I think.....why do I do this.
Then a week or two later I do it all again.
Maybe some day ill give up trailering and go back to keeping boat in a slip,
but not my V21. This rig I preserve .

It's not bad, kind of restful and relaxing.... and definitely less stressful than fighting northbound bumper to bumper traffic on the GSP on a Sunday evening.
