1976 V-20 Fisherman w/2008 Df140

This boat was upside down for two weeks after Irmageddon.
It is upright and floating now.
It is in Marathon Fl, bring trailer and tow it home.

New tank in 2013, Transom done 2012, Good bottom paint.
Nothing works. Will be parted out and ground up, when the boat yards are back working here.

It is the perfect boat for the Keys, and it served me well.
At this time, I do not know if it will be replaced.
It would make a good project. The bones are there, just the flesh is tired.

I can attest to that being the perfect Keys boat/motor combo...what a shame.

Hope you guys are on your way to recovery.

The good news,
After no takers, and sitting at the dock for over a year, I found a replacement engine (that came with controls and steering).

The old Suzuki 140 is replaced with an even older 140 (with less hours though). When the rewiring is complete I will have the old rig back.

I will post some pictures when I can, this has been a long time coming.

Thanks Spare, and the rest of you all.

When the 5 ft of water came through Marathon and over my dock, most of everything I had went in the canal or just vanished. The rest was salted, even hand tools are worthless after a dunking like we had.
I road it out on my Whitby sail boat. The New Hope got banged up a bit, but made it through the storm fine.
It has taken 9 months to get Emergency rebuilding permits from the Army Corp, (Trump has not got to that part of the swamp yet) but now we are just waiting on the barge to come and put some more pilings in.
So it has taken a long time to get this far.

The old 140 was 20 inch shaft, the new one is 25 and came with a jacking plate. It is also left hand. The boat will now have hyd steering.
I'll be cutting the new floor hatches from a piece of plastic.
She will not look pretty, but never did.
Pretty does not last here in the sun and wear we/I put on a boat. The old motor had 4000 hours on it, and still ran fine.
This new 140 is a year older with less than 500 hr, it should see me through till I am too old.

I was going to put my traps out October the 5th, but there was a little depression in the gulf, so i decided to wait. They cost too much. Well , that turned out to be probably the best decision i made in all this mess. These hurricanes are fun for a week or two , but after that it gets old real fast. We re still in the debris removal stage.
