Rare 2004?

Not mine, no affiliation. Not familiar with this model?

Well, the seller writes a good ad. I'll give him that. But that boat bears absolutely no resemblance to the V20 or the V21 steplift hull. About the only thing it has in common is the Wellcraft name. It's pretty, and if the engine has been maintained like he says it has been it's probably a good boat. Pricey, but good. I like the idea that Wellcraft used a composite transom, Shame they waited so long to use them. :head:

It's real. Wellcraft brought the V20 back into production (same name totally different boat). I saw one at a Boat show in 2004, before moving to CA. If you search the site there was a thread on it from 2004.

By Popular Demand, Wellcraft® Introduces An All-New V21 Cuddy Cabin

SARASOTA, Fla. ***8212; The new V21 Cuddy ***8212; based on the boat that was a major part of the Wellcraft line for more than 26 years ***8212; is being introduced by Wellcraft Marine.

The model was discontinued from the Wellcraft line in the mid-1990s, ***8220;But so many people asked for this closed-deck cuddy saltwater fishing boat, we***8217;re bringing it back as part of the 2004 lineup,***8221; said Dean Samuelson, president of Wellcraft Marine.

The V21 Cuddy is 21***8217;10***8221; overall with a beam of 8***8217;3***8221;. The boat features a closed deck cuddy cabin design. With a single Yamaha SX 150, the V21 has a top speed of about 42 miles an hour at 5450 rpm and cruise speed is approximately 32.5 mph at 4000 rpm. The 77-gallon fuel tank gives a cruising range of close to 212 miles.

The boat has a gelcoat finish and foam-filled fiberglass construction box section stringer with an integral high-density composite transom. There is a transferable 10-year limited structural hull warranty.

The V21 is an able-bodied fishing machine equipped with a 116-quart lighted Kodiak baitwell with an overboard drain. There is rod storage under both gunwales, two stainless steel gunwale-mounted rod holders, and two 40-quart insulated fish boxes on both port and starboard with overboard pumpouts. All deck hardware is stainless steel and through bolted, and the fiberglass deck features diamond pattern skid-resistant surfaces.

The cockpit boasts two pedestal seats with cushions and there is a removable 48-quart cooler with cushion. There is integrated storage under the port seat with a lid, cushion and overboard drain. An optional ski pylon and portside sunlounge seat are also available.

The cabin features seating with removable cushions and storage below. The head is self-contained and the entry door is bifold to allow easy in and out. The cabin also has an opening deck hatch with a screen.

Wellcraft***8217;s Samuelson says, ***8220;The V21 was a standard in the line for many years. People asked for its return and we***8217;re delighted to bring back an updated version of a proven product.***8221;

Retail price for the V21 with standard power of a single Yamaha SX150 TXRB outboard engine is $36,790.

Interesting, looks like no wood?

Larger fuel tank, overboard drains...

Nice boat.

Yep, that's about what I figured. They tried to make some sales off of the V20 name. Like I said in my first post, it's a nce boat, but not a real V20 steplift. Still, if you look at it I really like the steps going up to the front deck and the offset entry door to the cuddy cabin. That solves the leakage problem that V20's and V21's had with the sliding hatch. Simple yet effective. Nicely done.
Thanks for the link and the info BigShrimpin :clap:
