Opinions of theWellcraft 23 Fish
 

Not a V20 but same brand. I bought a 1989 23 Fish because I wanted the motor. I have transferred the motor to my Hydra Sports 20. Now I keep looking at the 23 and considering a rebuild. There are some soft spots in the floor and the transom is wet. I am considering a full tramson and a bracket. Do anybody have any experience with this hull? Thanks

It's an ok boat, but not ahuge following with it's very low dead rise of 16 degrees(it has less dead rise than the v-20 has). Everything I've read on the 228/230 says it's ok at anchor with the flatter 16 degree dead rise hull bottom, runs well with low HP, but will pound the snot out of you in any chop.

Thanks Ferminator. When I measured the dead rise it was 20*. I used my Ipad so it might be off but not 4*. The hull looks just like the Coastal 23. Thanks Joel
