1st time out today
I was in the back bay buy Sayreville or keyport, not to sure of the exact location I saw another steplift out there with a Yamaha engine Was it any of you guys?
So I got 10 cocktail blues and two keeper fluke I get back to the Sayreville ramp start my motor to flush it and no stream temp goes up and still no stream so I shut her down, now I have to change the water impeller, what do you guys think? Am I right
You mean change it because it ran hot or change it because it wasn't peeing on a hose. Do you have a temp or water pressure gauge?
By all means check/replace the impeller, BUT also look closely at your present impeller for any broken vanes that could be clogging your cooling system. You need to account for EVERY piece if any are missing. Also check your pickup section to make sure no seaweed of other debris is clogging water getting to the impeller.
I will destroyer Look for any pieces that may have broken off, it was peeing all day but at the marina nothing, it looked like it wanted to but nothing, I'm thinking the thermostats but the impeller hasn't been changed in about three years Maybe longer

Something about that hose situation, may be to late know but I would have dunked the trailer with the boat just enough so you could have fired it up again and see if water was flowing like it did before.
What I'm going to do first is take out the thermostats then run thr motor, if it has a water stream then I know it's the thermostats not the impeller , what do you guys think about that?
