Replacing Impeller

On an Optimax 200hp. Should I just replace the impeller using the original Mercury (47-43026T-2) or should I order the Sierra Water Pump Impeller Service Kit? Thanks

I no longer use any aftermarket water pump kits. On small impeller Mercs, I replace the impeller and upper housing, on large impeller Mercs( your opti), I use the mercury impeller kit with gaskets and wear plate. Tip on replacing the impeller, use two small drill bits as guides to keep all the gaskets in place when you spin the shaft to install the upper housing

I'd use merc oem parts. And I'd get the housing with gaskets

You type faster than i do, spare.

Replaced with OEM kit and your tip on using two small drill bits as guides to keep all the gaskets in place worked like a charm. Can't believe my new motor is going to be 3 years (178hrs) come May 30th.
