It ain't that clean.

I seen that one. Nice boat, but he will never recover the cost of the engine. I'm betting he's got close to $20K in just the repower, maybe more.

No doubt It's a nice rig , good thing though cause I think he's gonna have for a while with that price !!

Yep... pretty boat. I love V's with no bottom paint. But at that price I hope he's happy with it cause he's probably gonna have it for a while.

when you see a boat for sale that includes a detailed list of the stereo(not electronics) installed, its probably overpriced

THEFERMANATOR 02-08-2017 09:15 PM

He's really not that overpriced if you break it all down. That engine rigged out probably cost every bit of $18-19K, so I bet it still probably has a $13-15K value if you were to buy one used and have it all rigged. The trailer is a $2500-2700 piece by itself, a 7 in touch screen garmin is around a grand. If it's all marine grade stereo stuff, theres another grand, maybe more(and steroeos are a big deal out on the intercoadtal where they go and park by the islands and crank em up). Figure a clean, sound V20 hull to he worth $3K, and all of a sudden his price adds up. His problem is he put all that money into an older wellcraft where used ones normally fetch in the $3500-10,000 range. He could buy a newer boat(even one with carbed 2 stroke power), swap the outboard and equipment around, sell the newer boat for a repowered premium, then sell the v20 for a normal price, and make more money in the end. Were enthusiasts of the v20 here, but to the average public, they just see a 30 year old hole in the water that doesn't say seacraft, formula, or the like on the side.

I agree with ferm hes in the ball park...

charlie_the_tuna 02-08-2017 11:59 PM

y'all can break it down any way you like. he aint selling this boat at anywhere near this price.

inaforty 02-09-2017 05:06 AM

I agree with Ferm. However trying to get your money back from a recent repower is very hard.

I really like the switches on the electrical panel!
