Great day

My old man helped me remove the oil injection system from my '89 Merc this Spring. I finally got him (and my mom) out on the water today and it was glorious. No fish, but it was really nice to show my parents around the MA North Shore after they raised me on the water in Maine. I'd never taken them out on a boat before - it was always the other way around.

My dad - a longtime Maine commercial fisherman (tuna, lobster, urchins) loved the V20. He remarked a couple times about how nice the lines were and how well it handled out in the 3-footers.

Just a great day.

V nice that you show respect to the parents........

I bet your dad could tell some stories about the sea, fishing and such.

Thanks for posting.

That's what it's all about. I love going out with my folks. They are both Navy Vets. I know they were glad to retire and get off them ships but I can see it in their faces when we go out that it brings back memories. My dad always tells me his story about catching his 350lb tuna from his torpedo hatch door when we go fishing. Heard it a thousand times and it never gets old.

I caught a Marlin off the fantail (stern) of the Destroyer I was on while we were anchored in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I tell the story to my family every once in a while. I know they've all heard it before, but it's still a great tail to tell...
