Lure scent
I use pro cure gel. Of all the scents I've tried it stays on longer and seems to work the best. Even on top waters like my badonk-a-donk, noticeable difference. However, at least 90% oft he fishing I do is salt water. And probably 80% of that is speckled trout, redfish and flounder. So I have no real knowledge to share for bass fishing. Except that I do occasionally catch them on live shrimp under a tourist rig when fishing up the bayous
What do you guys use? Anybody got a killer home brew that works really well? |
WD-40 for stripers.

My buddy Dave makes his own "secret sauce", vanilla and mineral oil. Not sure of the ratio but I do know it works well in fresh and salt water.

We fish feshwater (Lake Erie) and the only thing different when I have tried scents is that the boat and crew is covered with the stuff. I am looking at a two hour clean-up rather than the usual 15-20 minute job. Needless to say, I am not a fan and see no increase in catch rates when using vs not using. Just an unscientific observation.
