My experience in FL is fishing out of Hillsboro Inlet on my brothers boat. I have been out on FishCity drift boat. Night is way better than day. They fish the same areas we fish. But we anchor and chum...and catch more fish. We're talking yellowtail snapper, mangroves, mutton and an occasional nice grouper and kingfish up top. If you are looking for a cool experience, try one of the $99/head sporties. They will take you out to troll for a shot at dolphin/sailfish/wahoo/kingfish. Sometimes they use kites and live bait. Sailfishing should be hot in Feb. Like any fishing some days are great, some days are a boat ride. I know there was just a multi-boat fire there so I don't know who is still running. The ICW has a lot of jacks and they will bring a smile to any kids face, even a big kid like me...There is always a chance at a tarpon or snook. There is access at a boat launch near the 14th st bridge in Pompano Beach and also at the Hillsboro Inlet. There is an ocean fishing pier in Pompano Beach. FWC and the Broward Sheriff dock at that ramp on 14Th so you need to have a license.... |
thanks skunk. some good stuff there. really wanna get this boy hooked up.
