Anyone Do Remote Control

Dare I say, TOYS?
R/C Boats? Cars? Trucks? Helicopters, quads, drones, what do you guys got?

Since the beginning of the year I've been into quadcopters, now airplanes. I needed a distraction from the BS and the boat wasn't the answer I was looking for..

I've built a 1/10th scale YETI rock racer truck, six quadcopters, one hexcopter and I just bought my first R/C airplane.

You go through phases. I like to build stuff. The Yeti was the most intense model I ever seen. A lotta parts, upgrades galore. China made, everything... Amazon is sending me on an all expenses paid trip to Europe for the dough I've dropped on this junk...But I am sane, kinda.:nice:Attachment 6289

I was at sams Saturday, and they had one of yhose 4 rotor drones with acolor camera built in for $99. I cant believe how cheal this stuff has gotten. They have a large scale grave digger with batteries and all for $99 as well. I don't know who Christmas wish shopping more, me or Patrick. Momma walked off shaking her head.

LOL. I gotta say R/C stuff puts a smile on my face every time. The rooster of dirt off the tires alone is worth the price of admission. Going nose in because you suck as a pilot, priceless. I fix a lot of stuff. I have a scale crawler I just bought. I figure I don't have enough money to buy the real mccoy, this is the next best thing. One of those fancy toploader chunks for a real rock climber is way more $$$ than these toys, whattayasay Spare? Ever get involved in R/C planes?

I've played with r/c stuff since I was a kid...

Planes, copters, boats, trucks, cars, rock crawlers...

I even light n drop fireworks from planes... Big ones.

I had controll line planes and free flight planes growing up. We did it old school, 1/16 balsa strips and tissue paper, rubber band powered. Bult a Taylor craft, Monocoupe, and a Howard DGA all before I was 10. Had a SIG ROG free flight that used 12 ft of rubber band, wound it up with a handrill. Graduated to silkspan, bigger pices of balse and airplane dope and nitro motors later on. I have an unassembled Sig kit Cessna 150 in my closet thats older than I am. One of these days I'm going to put it together. Never got into the RC cars, trucks, or boats. Not because I didn't want to, just because playing with the full size thing was more fun and I was usual;ly out of money by the time I got down the hobby of the day list to thoses. The RC rack crawlers are a very big thing, enjoy http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/107-r...ntrolled-cars/

and yes, I just paid more for tires and rims(used) for my rock buggy than I'm asking for the Suburban

I just dug out my HPI RS4, 1/10th scale awd car,the other day. I haven't touched it since 04. I've been doing donuts in the house with it, forgot how much fun RC cars are. I also have a nitro T Max, but that's a little beat up and I think the engines seized. I have bigger toys to spend my money on now, so I think I'll let the truck sit.

Well that is where I was at the time. Not spending any money on big toys and going crazy sitting around the house. This was a needed departure from the norm. That is pretty cool. I didn't figure I was the only one..

Phat, your gonna put on 20 lbs wih that remote TV.
