OK, totally informal, no need to supply a reason.

If the presidential election was held tomorrow, who would you vote for? Your answer can be for either party, and again, just a name, not a reason why.

Destroyer 11-01-2015 03:02 AM

Ted Cruz

Toto

Rand Paul. I can't support Ted Cruz after his remarks a few years back about how having only 1 US born parent makes you ineligible to be president, yet he has only 1 US born parent and is running now. I cannot stand hypocrites and the do as I say not as I do mentality. And he is guilty of it BIG TIME after everything he said about obama not being eligible because only his mother was American, yet he is in the same situation and now he feels differently. Rubio talks a good, game, but he has proven to be nothing but a rino, and Trumps party swapping and now saying he's against everything he was for less than a decade ago scares me. And his obama catch phrase doesn't help(change you can believe in, lets make America great again, both are 2 phrases in the same pod).

My yellow lemon beagle Ranger. He's 98 in dog years so some think he's too old to be president, but his running mate Sable, the black and white pit mix, makes an excellent number 2 in a worse case scenario.

If Ranger doesn't make it to the election Sable says she'll throw her support behind Toto.

Phil Robertson.... Not a fan of the show but at least he's shown himself to have integrity and to stand behind his beliefs even if it gets him in hot water with the fruitcakes.

He's one up on 99% of politicians already.

Maybe, but because Cruz's mother was a U.S. citizen and his father was a U.S. resident, Cruz has been a citizen from birth and is thus a 'natural born Citizen within the meaning of the Constitution" and the "Naturalization Act of 1790." There has never been a question of his eligibility. Obama's Father never was a resident, and never became a citizen of the US. It's may seem like a little thing, but in the eyes of the law it's huge

I will not be drawn into any political debate...

In the eyes of the law? It didn't matter in Obama's case. Didn't Obama's granny swear that she witnessed his birth in Kenya? People have odd ideas and don't necessarily communicate the truth as the rest of the world sees it... How could anyone blame Obama for his parents and his birthplace? Like most folks, I can't remember the moment I was born and certainly not where I was born. Nor could he. Birthers need to refocus their angst against something else more worthy of attention because that is a lost cause at this point...

It is Ranger, Sable, Toto and Trump in that order...Don't worry about the dogs age,( and I use the term "dog" in the most endearing fashion imaginable for the first three hopefuls) look at how long Byrd stayed in there...They had to haul him out by ambulance during Obama's second Innaguration IIRC. Not to knock his service, but give me a break. Term limits, manditory retirement age. Yes I said it. Let's start to descriminate a little. More than you ever asked for Destroyer, but I couldn't contain myself. Now I'll go back into hiding.. My .02 Respectfully, Vic

P.S. - If any political candidate were to squirrel up with a V-20, now that is someone I could get behind. Someone with buck$ could CNC a new mold that is approx 130% larger with the same big bow flare, a variable deadrise hull, from the likes of Mr. Mosely and a little more beam, proportionate to the upscale, naturally.. Make it free with whatever power the individual decided and fill the tank, I could take delivery right away..vote purchased.. Isn't this how it works?

It matters to me when he used his own case as an example of why he shouldn't run(but now I guess he's going with if it's good enough for the geese, then it's good enough for the gander). I've noticed this tid bit has been disappeared from youtube and the likes. If he gets the nom I'm sure it will come back out, but on the other hand if they use it, they know it could backfire and go against the annointed one. And the other BIG issue with Cruz is he was born to ONE US parent in CANADA. He has never denied being born on non us soil, so his own words will come back to haunt him on this.

I'm not trying to drum up the whole birther thing, just trying to point out I can't support one who was a part of it and used his own birth as an example in it.
