Out Shark River Inlet........

Took a bit of time, but I figured out how to hook up on the false abi's working under the birds. Very small metals cast from my light casting gear for the answer. Fun.

Also caught a weakfish and released.
Beautiful ocean, calm, light breeze fantastic day to be on the water.

Did a brief WOT down the inside bay channel drag strip.......hit 43 knots / 49.45 mph before running out of room at channel end. That was top down, light fuel, just me on board, engine trimmed. Might have squeezed out a few additional tenths....maybe hit 50 mph if I get the prop tuned but that's about it. We don't " run WOT " ....it's just good to confirm if max performance is being achieved. Performance usually ties in with efficiency.

shame it didn't actually happen. no pictures to prove it. cool story though.

Sounds like a decent trip. Guy in my group trolled 9 bass to 36#s right in the reach. I didn't get my boat finished on Saturday so I didn't get out. Should be out this upcoming weekend.
