johnson 175 engine skirts

has any one taken off engine skirts on a Johnson 175? do you have to take shift & throttle cables loose or out to remove? how about fuel and oil lines on other side. going to pull boat out this am and start this process. thanks have scaned the web but don't see anything on this.

Which 175? There was ALOT of different cowlings used over the years by OMC, and there are 3 different variants of the 175 that I know of.

Its a 1994 johnson ocean RUNNER 175 does that help
