king macks

had a light day at work, managed to get off after lunch. wife & daughter are off for the summer, so we loaded up and went about 1:30. got back at the ramp by 5 and brought these guys back. not real big ones, 30", but they'll make nice smoked fish dip.

yea, i know putting a yeti sticker on a cooler doesn't make it one, but i can pretend...

It's guaranteed to put a bounty on it though!
Hear telling of all the Yeti thefts.
If anyone asks, tell them it's the new "econo lite" model.

first thing I did to my Yeti coolers was pull the sticker off

thats actually a split lid gott from about 1983. i bought one & my friend did also. i love this cooler. these were the "yeti" in their day. they were around $100. then sometime in the mid 80's rubbermaid bought them out and they went to crap.

if you find one in a yard sale, etc. snatch it up, you will be surprised at how well it holds ice

Those are good steaked and grilled as well...the kings, not yetis.

phatdaddy 07-10-2015 06:35 AM

when i make dip, i grill them rather than smoke 'em. i am not good at smoking fish, it always comes out tooo dry.

rmb, have you been to big pine yet?

randlemanboater 07-11-2015 06:38 AM

Not going this summer, planning to go over Christmas break this winter.

phatdaddy 07-11-2015 07:41 AM

never been in the winter, i know there is a lot more fish there then.

i hope to get down soon

We do well either season, looking forward to trying spring and fall in the future.
