Stretched V20
If you could make your V20 longer how long would it be and what are would you (middle or stern) stretch?
|
WELLCRAFT made a factory version streetched out to 23 feet for a short period of time. Don't think it was very popular as the beam wasn't really wide enough for the extra length.

Bingo Ferman, Beam to length ratio isn't oing to get any better. It would be work but 30" would do it for me I think. The length of the bracket I added.. What do you have in mind?

Re 23ft Saw this on Craigslist today $1800 obo John Allmond 23" not a V23 but has some similar lines.

I had an Allmand 25'. Loved the boat, with a Chevy 350 I/O in it. Loved the boat as it would run like a torpedo in calm seas. But is was skinny. Small beam made it roll a lot in heavy seas or when standing still. The V is much more stable.

I found this one on Google, doesn't look that much longer than the V20 though.

I used to have a boat like that. Tons of room. Did very well offshore. Different layout on the inside

That's a great question and here is my answer, a lot of thought and planning and design configurations went into it Here it is The perfect wellcraft
Right now it's loa 20'6 I would increase the lenght to Get ready 21 feet Why? You don't mess with a near perfect design The extra 6 inches why so when people ask me how long is your boat it's easier to say 21 feet. |
