1987 150hp evinrude VRO
What is you guys opinion on this motor? VRO has be disabled. Any fuel numbers? Im getting it super cheap from a guy thats good friends with my cousin
|
Good engine, pretty lightweight, but it is a THIRSTY PIG! Also the carbs need to be clean as the slightest bit of leaning out in mixture and it will burn a piston in no time.

The thirsty pig part is scary! Any links to ny fuel numbers?

FERM, does the "84 and "87 have the same appetite?
If so Kracker Jack you can expect up to 22 GALLONS PER HOUR of sucking. http://www.wellcraftv20.com/communit...hlight=numbers |

looks like a short shaft, is that a problem?
might just be the angle, hard to tell. |
Phat my v is set up with a 20 inch transom. Some im good to go.

The previous owner of the "84 had replaced the VRO with an electric fuel pump, not being comfortable with it I found out that model came with either VRO or TWIN fuel pumps.
So that's what I put on it. It was thirsty and I have only 2/20 gallon tanks. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...psj96ksuyh.jpg |
