Mercruiser told style trim Motor 1 Attachment(s) I was told I should buy a new trim motor . I have the older style w/o the plastic reservoir, |
|
1 Attachment(s) this is the other set I see a lot of, which I don't have.. notice top bolt/holes pattern |
|
1 Attachment(s) the only after market motor I can find is for the newer style with the two top bolt pattern.. is it safe to assume that it will match up fine.. its just a motor?? |

I believe your motor is the old style singer motor, the newer ones are prestolite(or Chinese copies). Check with ARCO to see what motor will fit. If your bracket is rusted and the solenoids are in bad shape, it may be worth it to up grade to the new style pump. Stern Drive Engineering has good prices on complete pumps with all the parts |

I looked all over including arco and the only motor I can find is the newer one. someone said it bolts on , but you have to use different mounting bolts. If it doesn't work I will have to buy the newer set up. I was trying to avoid the $350 + price tag |

spareparts got it. the boat is an 86. I cross referenced it and came up with the arco also. The motor I ordered cross reference with the arco. I haad gone to arco's sight which was helpful browsing their catalog..... thanks guys.. If it does not work , I will have to shell out the $$ and get the newer style |
