I never knew they made a v 17. i wonder if they have a 20" or a 25" transom? A guy was trying to tell me he had an 89 wellcraft that was 18' for sale, but I told him it didn't look like any v 18 I ever saw. Boat looked just like the one you posted. Oh well I guess my loss. |

that is the 18, same hull. at the bottom of the listing he has loa at 18 looks like a 20" to me with the notch in the transom. that looks like a pretty good deal to me, if the motor has decent compression. |

not saying that is the only 18 they ever made, just that is a 18 ft hull. that actually looks like it has more flare than the other 18 wellcrafts i have seen. they list a 17 that has a loa of 16'8", so i was saying if the loa was 18, i doubt if the builder would go down a size in the model number. edit:striper, i looked in the mid 70's catalogue, it looks like this is the 17 that is 16'8".not sure when the 18 came out. i was going by the length the seller was listing. |

Looks to me like a 17' Fisherman. Look at Page 13 and Page 14 of the 1973 catalog under the History tab. I've been looking for one of these in the Dallas/Houston area for some time to go along with my V20. The LOA of 18' may include the motor. |
