Batten em down.... Was floored for a second at the thought of 18-24 FEET of snow...... At inches it's still a bunch but a bit more manageable.....

At one time we were in the 18-24 range even as late as yesterday afternoon. Woke up this morning with maybe 3". Low formed closer to Long Island rather then over delaware it seems. Whole states shutdown anyway so I guess I get the day off and don't have to shovel.

MJ ain't off the hook though

Like RW said, most of NJ got by with just a dusting or 2-4". Those closer to the shore got a little more. I got about the same as RW. My sister in law, who lives in Sturbridge, Mass., has 24" on the ground and it's still falling... They figure another 6-8 before it's over. This is more like it used to be. I remember back in the 50's and 60's this type of weather was common for the east.... then in the 70's the winters started getting warmer. Now the earth is going through another cooling cycle and we can probably expect weather like this for another 10-20 years. Fun, fun, fun. (I'm betting the ski resort owners are licking their chops at the prospect). :sly:

20" so far and still coming! just spent hour getting my door open to let the dog out, poor thing got down the steps but could not get back up, i had to grab him by the neck and yank him up, was funny for me, not so much for him!
