LOL, no kidding! Edit: The Chaparral 21 I have that I will give away for FREE comes with a complete OMC Stringer drive. (Don't know if that's better or worse.) Sorry to hi-jack Billfish. |

I'm no expert but I know OMC is not a viable option for restoration. I should have been clear that I was just referring to to the boat (hull) for restoration/project. Again I'm no expert but I thought/believe that Sea Ray made a solid boat. In the 80's I made many trips 20 to 50 miles from port and 20 miles offshore for Tuna and Shark on a freind's 20ft Sea Ray Merc I/O. Many of those trips were in questionable weather even for a larger boat. I do remember vividly that I had to hold my nuts with one hand and the windshield with the other while using the seat as a leaning post due to the constant pounding. It was certainly not a "V" ride. That boat is the reason why I chose to buy a "V". |

we had a 1975 22srv and we pulled the motor and dropped a bracket with a 225 evinrude. it was actually a nice riding hull, having had it out 30 miles on a few occasions shark fishing. good times. |

someone paid $300 too much for that pile |

trailer didn't look too bad. |

Those model EZ Loaders are thin square tubing and rust out like crazy from the inside especially on the crossmembers. Basically a cheap entry level trailer to get the overall package price down on a boat show special. |
