I totally agree with you Bradford. But unfortunately, the simple fact is too many people are getting paid off for Ethanol gas to simply go away. It was a good idea, (cutting back on "real" gas by blending it with Ethanol) that held great promise (as defined by the EPA, and the corn growers Lobby) and they swore that it would not harm engines in any way. Well, perhaps no metal in any engines were harmed, but the indirect damage that it's caused, including loss of life, tons of boat engines blowing up, miles of hoses needing to be replaced, countless manhours wasted doing those replacements and repairs is simply criminal. But it will stay around, simply because the farmers LIKE the extra corn sales they are making, the producers (Ethanol) LIKE the money they are raking in, the gas producers LIKE the extra money they make, and the politicians LOVE the extra money that they are getting bribed with (for their campaign chests of course <sarcasm>). No, unfortunately, I think that it's here to stay, regardless of the huge cost it is putting on everyone. :cen:
