conversion from IB/OB to Outboard
Has anyone here tried to convert form inboard/outdrive to an outboard? If so can you message me or guide me to some threads with pictures. I like the space with the motor removed from the middle of the boat.
I'm always looking to get into trouble..... |
Check the repair section, I believe i saw one there, sorry Im not surr who started the thread. Good luck with your project, I know i need it with mine!
|
the words you need to search for are "bracket" and "conversion"
OR if yours is a CC I'll trade ya my outboard hull for ur I/O..... If'n ya want to take a 1200 mile road trip that is...... :D |
Thanks and no Thanks to the exchange.
no trades, just looking for information in case my engine goes...
|
Was intended as a joke.....

Not sure about the build thread but my CC was converted some time ago. I LOVE IT!!! Completely changed the way that boat fishes and performs for the better

Once I switched to the 4-stroke I did sag a touch in the back. Maybe an inch at the most. But the way the hull seats itself whe runnin made a huge difference. The boat doesnt want to leap out of the wave when runnin in a head sea and Ive yet to have a following sea this thing doesnt just run the hell out of. I was in a solid 3' following sea the other day runnin 30+ comfortably while the contender to my south was falling in and out of plane. I love the way it handles now. Much better with a touch more weight in the back

I and others here have done it! It was a great do over for me, b ut I no longer have the boat. look in the gallery for pic's!
