Fathers day report

Well the wife said I could do whatever wanted for fathers day, so I loaded up the boat at 5 and was gone ALL day. Went out of the Chassohowitzka River with the goal of hooking up with a redfish. Ended up getting 3 decent speckled trout, 1 nice trout, a slot legal sized snook(which had to be released because he was out of season), and hooked into a NICE redfish.

Heres the trout, three 18 inchers, and a 23 incher. Caught the 23 incher on an oyster bar. I swore it was a redfish by the way he slammed it.

And the redfish.

I got back 2 straightened out treble hooks, and the 3rd was gone as it pulled the ring that holds the hook on open. It was a bummer getting a glimpse of him, then the train took off from the staition, and the lure came flying back at me. I will say BERKLEY TRILENE XL is some good stuff as the line looked great, but 3 treble hooks weren't as trong as 14 pound test. No pics of the snook as I released him without bringing him in the boat.
