Murrell's Inlet Report - 4/17 - 4/19
Just slightly too rough to head offshore....
Fished on my buddy's boat in the creeks. He fished solo on 4/17 and found some good red action which he put me on the next 2 days. Landed a total of 10 or so and a couple lost. Five in the slot. Also a few short flounder. It sure did get progressively colder over the weekend. Golfcart man that carries people from the parking lot to the ramp after parking the truck said there wasn't a whole lot of catching going on but a few people brought home some fish. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-g.../Photo0048.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-k.../Photo0049.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-O.../Photo0050.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-J...140419_002.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-_...20-%252011.jpg |
Nice Reds BR!
What kind of boat are y'all in? |
That little 13' Salem Skiff I bought on the side of the road with a couple trees growing in the floor a few years ago. :sun:
My buddy put a new floor in it 2 years ago and had been running a 15hp johnson on it until he recently upgraded the engine to an '07 yamaha 20hp. It is a fine little creek boat. We actually fished 3 people on it the third day. |

Yep, that's the old thread! Has it really been 7 years?!? The boat spent 2 or 3 parked in the woods behind my house. I'm glad my buddy aka "Sparky" ended up with it.
Here's a fun fact for ya - the place I bought the boat from was less than 2 miles from Sparky's house. |
