We should post these in the archives somehow. Love reading all the "Old School" boat stuff from the early 60's. Always thought I was born 50 years too late.

Any of y'all like old school racing should check out a book called "Searace" by John Crouse. Has history of all the races going way back before guys like Don Aronow even cut their teeth. goes all the way up to modern day. Its' a tome too, with lots of cool old pictures. It's usually pretty expensive, but I picked it up off ebay for 29 bucks a while back.

Welcome Homebrew!

Keeping it in the family

Recently I posted that I had sold my V21 to my son. Well I'd like to join you guys in welcoming my son "Homebrew" to the forums. Obviously the screen name makes you think of beer (he's done that too), but in this case it refers to last years project pictured below. I have a feeling Homebrew, the boat, will not get much use this year while Homebrew, my son, is out cruising around on that newly acquired V21. He told me I could still use the V21 occaisionally, but I don't know if I'll be able to get it away from him. :)

Welcome aboard son. Nice entrance.

Well You must be proud rb. Homebrew, that boat is a keeper.. I love skiffs and dorys because they are so simple and near perfect for the flats and backwaters.. Boldly go where no V-20/21 will even float. I will always have a flat bottom boat of some description in the arsenal. Now you got your dad's V-21, that is a heck of a nice boat too.
Make sure to keep your dad in the mix, awful important those family matters. I will make the old man feel important and besides you may need some gas money from time to time.. LOL!
You guys are a heck of a good team and I am jealous. I need to get Team Redfish back on the water and soon, I am starting to have withdrawals..

Welcome Homebrew!! Love your first post! I wish I still had that old Colonial I had. Really love those old boats.

Indeed, in so many ways.
