70 evinrude water pumps stainless plate question

Is there suppose to be a gasket between my stainless base plate of the water pump and my lower unit? when i took the lower unti apart to replace all the seals and orings there was already a gasket under the stainless base plate so i removed it expecting to buy it with the rest of my parts. so no big right? well where the hell do I find it? it doesnt exist!! lol!! the schematic doesnt show one and nither does the water pump kits. The only "gasket" shown is for the shift shaft housing cover. Can someone tell me im not imagining things? Thanks for your help fellas.

You are correct, no gasket.
